DESCRIPTION:
Our experience shows us the most beautiful side of the city with the most important places such as:
El Barrio y Mirador de Yanahuara: We can appreciate the old streets and its famous church; this place is frequently visited by the viewpoint from where you can see the entire beautiful valley and the guardian of the entire city, the Misti Volcano.
Paucarpata: It bears its name in Quechua, which when translated means flowery platform, because it is located at the top of a mountain and its agricultural areas supported by stone walls can be seen on the descents of it. It has a fantastic church that when visiting it shows us the wide art that exists.
Molino de Sabandía: It is a beautiful and fantastic piece of colonial architecture, it is estimated that it was built in 1621, made of ashlar stone; even after the time, even today, you can see the water still passing through its old channels that keep the mill in an optimal state, today around 800 kilos of grains are still ground. From this point you can see a series of volcanoes such as: Chachani, Misti and Pichupichu.
The Monastery of Santa Catalina: It is one of the main places to visit within the most significant religious constructions of the colonial period of Peru, it was built in the year 1579. The peculiar thing about this place is that when we enter this space we can notice It looks like a small town, with streets and very colorful cloisters with flower decorations, narrow alleys and little rooms well furnished with old objects.
